Dyson to hire 900 in the UK
Boost for local employment
Engineering company Dyson is to hire more than 2,000 new staff, 900 of whom will be UK-based, and recruitment will focus on teams including electronics, design engineering and robotics.
The Malmesbury-headquartered firm reported global revenues of £6bn last year - up five per cent - and profits of £1.5 billion. It said its largest-ever recruitment drive would contribute to the “development of radical new technologies”.
James Dyson, founder and chief engineer, said: “We like looking at problems in the wrong way and pioneering our own solutions. As a result, we are succeeding and growing.”
