Johnson Matthey sales soar up to 63%
Secures Oxis Energy, Oxford
The year has started well for Swindon and Reading-based
Johnson Matthey, with a continuation of the good demand seen in the second half
of 2020/21.
In the first quarter it saw strong sales growth of 63%
year-on-year, primarily driven by increased demand in Clean Air alongside
Efficient Natural Resources which benefited from higher precious metal prices
and stronger end markets.
Johnson Matthey has also acquired the assets and intellectual
property of Oxis Energy, based near Oxford, a lithium-sulphur battery developer
with assets which can be adapted for the manufacture of components for green
hydrogen production.
