A national charity whose mission is to provide young people with the inspiration and motivation they need to achieve their potential.
#InspiringTheFuture campaign aims to encourage more people from the world of work to connect with local schools for one hour a year. Research conducted by the charity found that children as young as six begin to form ideas of what they think they can and can’t become in the future which is largely influenced by television and their socio-economic background. It also found that children develop gender stereotypes around jobs. By widening their exposure to different careers and the different faces behind these, we can broaden the ideas children have of future possibilities.
