Introduction to managing your Company's finances

A small funding pot has been made available from the Government to provide foundation training on managing a Company’s finances. This is a one day, fully funded course, which is aimed at people in your business who you would like to better understand the financial fundamentals of running the business. It would suit book keepers, up and coming, rather than experienced, financial controllers or any other staff who would benefit from a better understanding of the fundamental aspects of how finances work for businesses.

The course will cover:

  • Understanding how to construct and read a balance sheet
  • Budgeting, planning and cashflow management
  • Mathematical reasoning – understanding numbers
  • The weighted decision Matrix – how good use of financial information can support decision making – producing good information for senior management
  • Understand margins and marginal costs
  • Understanding pricing models and price elasticity
  • Profit maximisation techniques – managing costs and revenue
  • Use of Excel

Refreshments and a working lunch will be provided.

These funded workshops are available to businesses based in Wiltshire and delegates need to be 19yrs +

Parking free onsite at Heywood House.

We know this is likely to be popular so please book early. When fully booked, we can arrange subsequent days over the following few weeks. Places are not limited so you can book more than one person onto the course.

Eligibility:

To qualify for a fully funded place you will be asked to confirm that you are older than 19 and have a maximum C grade in Maths or level 2.

If you are at a higher level, please let us know so we can organise an assessment.
