This is a full day course where journalist Fiona Scott of Fiona Scott Media Consultancy Ltd will help you understand what good PR looks like and will work with you - in small groups - to create a compelling story relevant to your story & business. It will be a hands-on workshop where laptops, tablets or note-taking will be required. There will be no more than 12 in the room on the day and food, drinks and light refreshments will be provided. If you have any dietary requirements please let my VA, Hannah know at email@example.com
This course is designed for individuals, start-up businesses, charities or any third sector organisation, or small business which have not embraced PR and want to do so effectively or who just want to find out more so they know what great PR looks like - and how much effort it actually takes.
Areas covered will include: what is PR? What makes a good story? What makes a bad story? Pretend you're a journalist and then the writing bit....and what to do next.
You will also be choosing a story and writing a news release, considering the structure and what information needs to be included and there will be a session on the importance of pictures and videos in business.
There will be a mini headshot shoot (which may be outdoors, weather permitting) and two headshots are included in the price (you can have more but you will have to pay for further pictures.)
Please think about what you are wearing and how you want to look. It is fine to bring a change of clothes.
Please note there is a cancellation policy with this event - due to costs incurred once booked - the fee is non-refundable. You can pass your place to another person if you do have to pull out at the last minute - please let the organiser know.
