Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) is a programme developed to upskill employees within small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Swindon and Wiltshire. SSW provides recognised, accredited qualifications and bespoke training courses to enhance your employees’ skills, increase the competitiveness of your business and boost the local economy.
Cosmic is part of Serco’s network of expert organisations chosen to deliver the SSW programme in your area. Because SSW is co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), we can support your workforce at no extra cost to your business.
Kate Doodson is the Joint Chief Executive of Cosmic, one of the leading social enterprises in the South West and recognised across the UK for its achievements and ongoing development. Kate is a girl geek having spent 18 years in the IT industry, many of which running a wholly female owned IT software business. Kate specialises in Digital Futures and the strategic use of Digital to transform business processes. She is passionate about ensuring businesses use the full range of digital services available to them to give them the edge they need to thrive, particularly in the rural economy.
This Digital Leadership Programme offers a series of 5 fully-funded*, practical masterclasses to look at your:

- - How digital technologies could help your business
- - How to help your staff adapt to changes in digital culture
- - How your business processes can be streamlined by using technology
These practical sessions, coupled with peer support and one to one mentoring, will help you to instigate a transformative action plan for your business and to ensure it is not only making the most of what is currently available, but also fit for the future.
The 5-day workshop will take place over a 5 month period on the following dates:
- 23 April,
- 21 May,
- 18 June,
- 16 July and
- 10 Sep 2020
Delegates will be required to attend all 5 training days.
