RDPE Rural Growth Programme

Grant funding for projects in England which create jobs and growth in the rural economy.

The current round of the Growth Programme was launched in January 2017. The calls have been developed in collaboration with Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs). They are open for an initial period of 12 months. Under the RDPE Growth Programme, there are grants for businesses operating in the following sectors:

Food processing
Business development
Rural tourism infrastructure

All the projects should create jobs. In addition Rural Tourism projects should encourage longer tourist stays and higher spending visits, extend the offer and increase in range of visitor attractions.

Food Processing projects support business growth whilst providing benefits to growers and farmers, introducing new techniques, equipment or processes and to export goods.

Business Development projects should aim to create new highly-skilled jobs and be innovative, introducing new products and processes to the business as part of a growth plan. Local specifications for projects linked to the environment.
