Can we help your startup?

At Nationwide we know that we can achieve more together than we can alone, and we would like to unlock the potential of start-ups here in Swindon.

We are developing a new six month mentoring programme in Swindon for early stage start-ups, where we will provide skills, space and support for organisations with great ideas, products or services, and a real appetite to develop these further.

Over the six month programme we will work with you to deliver tailored support to tackle specific challenges facing your business and help you develop clear strategies for growth.

What does the programme look like?

The programme runs for six months starting in September and we will be offering:

Community: As part of the programme you’ll have support from Nationwide’s community of suppliers, our experts and our established networks. Dedicated Mentor: an individual from within the Society to help guide your organisation, be on hand to support and to co-ordinate additional guidance.

Masterclasses: You’ll be able to select from a range of monthly masterclasses.
These will be delivered by Nationwide’s experts, and be packed with practical skills and tips.

Tailored Support: In month one of the mentoring programme, you’ll work with your mentor to agree a specific area of support – a problem your business is facing. We’ll work with you to develop a plan to tackle this barrier to growth.
Space & Resources: You’ll get some office space within Workshed, but we will also work with you to see what hardware, software and access to development platforms you may need.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for pre-seed to seed start-ups based in Swindon who are looking to grow and develop their product or service. We would love to hear from organisations who;

  • Reflect our culture and values (we’re the UK’s largest mutual, and have a clear focus on doing the right thing for our members, our business and our local community)

  • Have an inspiring idea, product or service with a plan for development

  • Want to learn and move your business forward (we want to really help over the 6 month programme – can we help tackle your biggest barrier to growth?)

  • Complement our innovation & venturing themes (these are all around how we can help our members and society and are: House & Home, Personal Data & Identity, Financial Wellbeing, Banking as a Platform, Communities & Society, Operational Efficiency, and New Segments)

Interested?
