Consultation description

The government has announced wide ranging reforms to the powers and role of Companies House, to improve business transactions and tackle economic crime. This follows previous consultations on Corporate transparency and register reform and Company ownership.

We are now consulting on 3 detailed areas of reform:

  • Implementing the ban on corporate directors (this page): to tackle opaque corporate structures, this consultation proposes that corporate directors will be prohibited unless their own boards comprise all natural persons, and those natural persons have their identities verified.

See the BEIS consultation privacy notice.

Please do not send responses by post to the department at the moment as we may not be able to access them.
