Corsham-based Chemring's US subsidiary Chemring Sensors & Electronic Systems has been awarded a $99m US Department of Defense contract for the Enhanced Maritime Biological Detection Program of Record.
This is an advanced sensor system to rapidly detect, collect and identify airborne biological warfare agents.
Chemring Australia has also received a contract modification valued at $20m in addition to the $22m contract that was announced earlier and is for the supply of MJU-68/B infrared countermeasures in support of the F-35 programme.
