There are many positives in recruiting ex Royal Navy and ex Royal Marines into local government. A great deal of good work being done around us within these organisations to support the military community. Amanda Peach joined Wiltshire Council 3 years ago, she served in the Women’s Royal Naval Service for 12 years. She went on to study a Post Graduate qualification in Careers Guidance at University West of England in Bristol and has gone on to support not only the military community but local businesses in Swindon and Wiltshire through her work with Career Transition Partnership and Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership. The Wiltshire area is looking forward to hosting the National Armed Forces Day on 29th June in Salisbury, this will showcase the great work that is being done by our Armed Forces.
