Applications to the Kickstart Scheme are closing soon.
After 17 December 2021 you will not be able to:
- apply for a new Kickstart Scheme grant
- add more jobs to an existing grant agreement
Applications submitted before this time or that are already in progress.
You need to:
- successfully apply online before 17 December 2021 for a Kickstart Scheme grant
- sign and return the grant agreement to DWP or your Kickstart gateway
You or your Kickstart gateway will receive the grant agreement by email after you’ve received the decision on your application.
Give your vacancy details to your gateway. They will submit them to DWP on your behalf using the job placement template.
If you have applied online you'll either get an:
- email you the job placement template to complete and send back for approval
- invite you to create an online account where you can submit your vacancies for approval online
After you’ve added your vacancies:
Your vacancies will go live once we’ve approved them. It can take up to 30 days to approve them.
Work coaches at Jobcentre Plus will refer young people to your vacancies. A referral is made when we recommend your vacancy to a candidate. This does not guarantee the candidate will put in an application.
You or your Kickstart gateway (depending on your agreement with them) will interview suitable candidates who have applied.
You or your Kickstart gateway will tell us when the young person has started so we can process the funding.
You can manage your funding and add more jobs to your existing grant agreement until 17 December 2021.
