Swindon Borough Council has rejected plans by pharmaceutical company Wasdell for a 100-acre “science park” but chairman Martin Tedham has warned he may now be forced to relocate away from Blagrove to Basingstoke "in the next few years".
The company, which employs 650 staff in Swindon, proposed a £56m scheme would have seen the pharmaceutical firm build a new headquarters and research and development facility at Inlands Farm, near Wanborough.
But after both sides argued their case at a recent planning meeting, members of the council's committee voted 10-5 against it.
