Reflecting a string of new contracts and renewals by existing customers, Wiltshire-based Wincanton has reported year-on-year revenue growth of 28.6 per cent in the first half of its financial year to September.
Underlying profit before tax of £27.3m was up 42.9 per cent from prior year, back ahead of pre-pandemic profit levels.
It also announced that Primark has awarded a five-year contract to the company to make deliveries to all its 191 UK stores. Beginning early next year, Wincanton will make more than 50,000 deliveries to Primark stores each year. Call 01249 710000
