The Governance Group has a couple of vacancies and would like to invite further representation from the Swindon and Wiltshire business community. 

This is to ensure the appropriate governance  and programme assurance activities for funding and to oversea the direction and reach of the Growth Hub. - but most importantly that the support we offer businesses is relevant, of value and encourages growth.

Ideally the new member will be  the owner or manager of a business, they would have knowledge of the local business landscape, the challenges businesses face and some of the current opportunities available to them.

Growth Hub Governance Group- Scope

To appraise the performance of the Growth Hub programme at regular intervals and oversee the sustainability of the programme deliverables.

To identify opportunities arising from the programme that maximise aspirations as set out in the Swindon & Wiltshire  Local Enterprise (SWLEP) Economic Plan.

To act as the formal link between the Growth Hub, SWLEP Board, media and delivery partners.

To provide assurance reports and updates to the SWLEP Board Media and delivery partners.

To provide assurance reports and updates to the SWLEP Board and external stakeholders/funders as required.

To review the overall process map and to critique the programme risk register.

Governance Group meetings take place on a quarterly basis and  last approximately 2 hours.
