Swindon-based construction company Beard Group has reported a strong business performance for 2022, responding well to difficult trading conditions.

With turnover accelerating back above pre-pandemic levels, it reported pre-tax profits of £3.5m and turnover of £165m, as it benefitted from a release of pent-up demand from the previous two years.

Finance director Fraser Johns said the company’s performance was in line with budget, “demonstrating Beard's ability to navigate the challenging economic environment.”
