About the Programme
Peer Networks is a pilot programme delivered by Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub. We are establishing diverse cohort groups to collaboratively work through common business issues. Through interactive action learning, we will enable participants to discuss
their own challenges, gain and reflect on valuable feedback and implement practical solutions to overcome them.
From finance and HR to sales, marketing and more, our expert facilitators give business leaders the flexibility to create a trusted support network that works for them, helping them to build and strengthen their business and improve its overall performance.
The Peer Networks Programme is funded by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in response to a commitment made in the 2019 Business Productivity Review.
The programme’s long-term objectives are focused on reducing the UK productivity gap by helping business leaders find practical solutions to strategic and operational challenges. The programme also aims to provide actionable insight to tackle the
short-term issues and those related to COVID-19.
Who is it for?
Peer Networks is designed for business leaders who want to grow and develop their organisation for future success.
The programme is open to SME businesses that have:
- Operated for at least one year
- At least five employees
- A turnover of at least £100,000
- An aspiration to improve
Businesses will ideally have the ambition to scale up or export or be exporting already.
How does it work?
We will deliver a series of high impact group sessions (workshops), each led by a trained facilitator.
The programme includes:
- 9 x 2-hour fortnightly sessions
- Interactive action learning
- Cohorts of 8-11 Business leaders
- Flexible topic selection
- Additional 3 ½ hours of one to one support
Why take part?
Businesses that seek external advice or undertake formal training are more likely to improve their overall performance, but many prefer to take advice from trusted sources, such as their peers, when presented with external challenges and opportunities. Peer Networks enables you to make connections that go far beyond networking.
Businesses that complete Peer Networks will be able to:
- Overcome business challenges and recognise and act on new opportunities
- Build a trusted network of connections to support them now and in the future
- Improve their long-term personal and business performance
