January's session will include:

Anxiety: Why it is a good thing

Anxiety will typically put the brakes on performance.  It is a natural response to feeling vulnerable.  What if, however, it could be used to create resilience and become a key performance differentiator in your business?

In this very practical session you will:

  • Develop a new understanding of the role of anxiety and how it can be used to grow and enhance your business
  • Learn a three-step process on how to manage anxious, uncertain thoughts and to apply this to your business
  • Gain practical experience of how to give your mind leadership and direct your mental strength, rather than your thoughts leading you!

With these skills in your toolbox, you can apply them to business, to your personal life, to your relationships, to any area of your life that is currently not all you want it to be.

Psychological Safety – the key to effective teams and high growth performance

Through an in-depth internal survey of employee collaboration, Google discovered that Psychological Safety was the top factor in differentiating their highest performing teams.

Having employees who feel safe to speak up, offer ideas, ask questions, seek help and admit mistakes is fundamental to wellbeing and engagement, inclusion, innovation, and business growth - research from Harvard, Microsoft, and Google show that Psychologically Safe organisations perform better on almost all Key Performance Indicators.

This session will help you understand how Psychological Safety can help you sustain an engaged and productive workplace, and shares key factors for measuring, building and nurturing a psychologically safe culture within your organisation.

The benefits of Mental Health Advocates in the workplace

A discussion around how to implement this idea, support those in post and how such a scheme could provide a positive impact to your organisation.

These regular Wellbeing for the Workplace sessions allow you to hear from experts on a wide-ranging set of topics to ensure wellbeing for both individuals and organisations.  Topics will include:

  • Financial wellbeing
  • How to maintain good physical and mental health
  • Benefits for organisations when giving support to their teams
  • Tips for getting the most out of your teams
  • How to spot areas of concerns

Workplace Wellbeing can ensure that your organisation runs smoothly, increases productivity, retains staff and reduces absence.  These sessions aim to help in all these areas.

Join other organisations and individuals to learn from experts, ask questions, discuss the topic and also have the opportunity for general networking.  What sort of assistance do you need?

This workshop will also provide the opportunity to join in with online networking sessions so you can speak with other businesses, highlight your products or services as well as make valuable connections.

As part of the commitment by the Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub, Wiltshire Council and Swindon Borough Council to support organisations and individuals maintain and create ‘wellbeing’, we are running regular sessions to focus on the help, support and guidance that is available.
