How to maximise your team’s performance using feedback

Recent research by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) shows that if delivered in the right way, a culture of giving regular feedback can drive individual and team performance and increase employee engagement.

During this three-hour workshop, we will explore how, why and when to give feedback – both as part of everyday dialogue with individuals and in more formal settings such as reviews and appraisals.

Why should I complete this workshop?

By the end of the workshop, you will come away with tools, techniques and templates to support you with developing a more productive team. Areas covered will include:

• techniques for how to give both praise and constructive feedback to reinforce or change behaviours
• increasing your skills and confidence in preparing for and conducting formal reviews, including probation reviews, regular one-to-ones and appraisals
• understanding the business and individual benefits of holding regular reviews and appraisals
• learning how to approach situations where performance or conduct may appear to be below expectations
• creating a culture of using feedback to increase employees’ motivation, sense of purpose and recognition
• understanding how feedback is a two-way process and how to create open communication channels in your business.

We will finish with a light lunch and opportunities to network with other business owners and managers.
