Speakers at this event will include:
- Samantha Thomas, Founder, Head Coach and Personal Trainer at Embrace Life UK
- Samantha will help you to make the connection between mental wellbeing, nutrition and movement. She will explain how this can be the catalyst for overall welfare in all aspects of everyday life, and importantly for business owners, can improve satisfaction and productivity at work.
- Divya Bassi, Public Health Specialist at Swindon Borough Council
- Her role includes implementing, promoting and evaluating evidence-based stop smoking services. Quitting smoking is associated with better physical and mental wellbeing, as well as lower absenteeism and presenteeism in the workplace. 66% of smokers want to quit and Divya will provide guidance on how to employers can support workforce wellbeing and encourage those attempting to quit.
- Richard Steptoe, Public Health Principal - Substance Use Disorders at Swindon Borough Council
- Richard is the strategic lead commissioner for the adult and young persons substance misuse services in Swindon. He will be presenting information on alcohol misuse and how this affects productivity and impacts the workforce.
Each informal session will allow you to hear from experts on a wide-ranging set of topics to ensure wellbeing for both individuals and organisations. Topics will include:

Workplace Wellbeing can ensure that your organisation runs smoothly, increases productivity, retains staff and reduces absence. These sessions aim to help in all these areas.
