As part of the SWLEP, the Swindon & Wiltshire Growth Hub acts as a single gateway to access information, support and potential funding available in regards to developing and promoting a  low carbon economy in the area.

The SWLEP is planning to announce two further Low Carbon calls under ERDF funding towards the end of the year and is looking to invest around £4m into renewables and related technologies- more information will be published on the Growth Hub when available. Wiltshire Council published the Energy Resilience Plan which sets out an action plan that seeks opportunities to work with stakeholders to improve energy resilience in the county.

For business nationally Hydrogen Europe (formerly known as NEW-IG) is the leading industry association representing almost 100 companies, both large and SMEs, working to make hydrogen energy an everyday reality.

Bath & West Community Energy established in 2010, aims to initiate projects that respond to the threat of climate change and peak oil, that retain economic value at a local level and that offer people a direct say in how their energy is generated and used.
