The redevelopment of the former Honda car plant in Swindon is expected to create 7,000 jobs doorstep over the next decade, according to the developer’s plans.
Panattoni has submitted plans to redevelop the former car factory near the A420, Swindon. The development is expected to cost £700m and it is hoped will create 7,000 new jobs on-site over the next 10 years.
Plans submitted to Swindon Borough Councils seek permission to create a logistics and manufacturing centre, develop the 145-hectare site for light industrial, storage, distribution, and general industrial and manufacturing uses, and create a new public park with cycling and pedestrian paths which link existing routes together.
