UWE Updates

Innovation 4 Growth funding unexpectedly re-available – don’t miss out!

Due to a business withdrawing there is still an opportunity to access their Innovation 4 Growth fund – you need to be an SME in Swindon & Wiltshire with an innovation & R&D project about to start that will create jobs, with a minimum project size of just under £30k for the smallest 35% match of £10,000.

The project needs to complete this year, not be business as usual and UWE wants the grant to allow planned projects to achieve more, move faster or extend scope.

They’ve already funded companies across our region to build labs, implement new systems, create new solutions and apply existing technology to new areas – the scope is broad, and the application is written to support success.

The UWE team are happy to scope whether your project might be a fit and support your application with reviews and advice, email [email protected] with any queries or register to receive the grant application form here.

New workshop date announced to support your business growth through innovation

Part of the UWE Innovation 4 Growth Project is the delivery of full funded workshops to support the Swindon & Wiltshire business community with innovation thinking and their next workshop on the 5th and 6th of July does just that.

Over two days it covers ideation, innovation thinking, business planning, funding options and bid writing in an interactive workshop designed to be of value to all SME’s from about to get started through to an established business looking to reflect and evolve.

You’ll come away with fresh perspectives, ideas and ways to structure, and fund, your innovation – which you might already be working on or looking for this workshop to inspire.

It is being held at the new Business Cyber Centre in Chippenham and has a limited number of places, you can find out more and register here.
